Doraemon was designed in 1969 as a soft, helpful future-friend. The friendliest robot in anime. We've reproduced him at the exact moment he stops being friendly. Three punk spikes grafted onto his round head. A screaming mouth where the smile used to be. The bell still rings.
LABEL 007 is the seventh release in LABO Vol. 01, a series re-rendering Showa-era manga icons through the visual language of late-1980s street stencil art. The reference is encoded, not displayed. If you grew up with Doraemon, the inversion hits twice as hard. If you didn't, it just reads as a punk cat.
